This week brought an abundance of major startup capital raises, highlighted by a pair of $400 million financings for cybersecurity unicorns Cyera and Island. The remainder of the week’s largest investments spanned high-profile sectors including foundational AI, drug discovery, neurotech, and cloud seeding.

1. Island, $400M, cybersecurity: Island, a creator of tools for secure enterprise digital operations, secured $400 million in Series F financing. Led by Evolution Equity Partners, the round pushed the Dallas-based firm to a $6.4 billion valuation, which is more than double its worth from 2024.

2. Cyera, $400M, cybersecurity: Cyera, a developer of enterprise data security tools that govern both humans and AI agents, gathered $400 million in Series G extension funding. Evolution Equity Partners led the round with backing from Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, bringing New York-based Cyera’s total capital raised to $2.7 billion, according to Crunchbase data.

3. Snorkel AI, $350M, foundational AI: San Francisco-based Snorkel AI, which supplies tools for frontier laboratories and artificial intelligence teams to build specialized training data and environments, locked down $350 million in Series E funding. Insight Partners and S32 spearheaded the round, giving the 7-year-old enterprise a $3.2 billion valuation alongside more than $375 million in annual recurring revenue.

4. Enveda, $311M, biotech: Enveda, an artificial intelligence-driven drug discovery startup, finalized $311 million in Series E financing led by Catalio Capital Management with participation from numerous new and existing backers. This capital injection raises the Boulder, Colorado-based company’s total funds secured since launch past $845 million.

5. Precision Neuroscience, $250M, neurotech: New York-headquartered Precision Neuroscience, a company specializing in brain-computer interface technology, obtained $250 million in Series D funding. Pershing Square and the Ackman Oxman Institute served as the lead investors.

6. Hubble Network, $200M, wireless communications: Hubble Network, which operates a satellite system that brings connectivity to Bluetooth devices, brought in $200 million via a Series C financing. Smith Point Capital led the investment, establishing a $6 billion valuation for the Seattle-based organization.

7. Rightway, $155M, pharmacy benefits: New York-based Rightway, a provider of care navigation and pharmacy benefits, captured $155 million in Series E funding spearheaded by Francisco Partners. The startup intends to allocate a portion of the funds toward scaling its artificial intelligence capabilities.

(tied) Rainmaker, $100M, cloud seeding: El Segundo, California-based Rainmaker, an enterprise dedicated to atmospheric research and generating new freshwater through cloud seeding, secured $100 million in Series B funding. Contributors to the round include Noa, Upfront Ventures, DCVC, Lowercarbon Capital, and Dream Ventures.

8. (tied) Numeral, $100M, tax compliance: San Francisco-headquartered Numeral, an artificial intelligence-driven sales tax compliance platform, completed a $100 million Series C round led by Insight Partners.
